Art in the Park (Summer 2021)

Promote creativity and learning safely in our community!

 

Join the Art Gallery of Sudbury / Galerie d’art de Sudbury for an Art in the Park creative experience! Families and individuals ages 5 yrs and up are invited to join us for a variety of inspired and imaginative activities at Bell Park.

 

Participants will meet at the large Bell Park pavilion on the specified dates and times. Space is very limited and must be booked 24 hrs in advance. All art materials are provided in a sanitized sealed bag. Masks are encouraged and social distancing is mandatory.

COLLAGE PORTRAIT:
Learn about cubism art and create a unique and imaginative portrait using various facial features and construction paper. Register here.

BUBBLE PRINT MAKING:
Creativity is limitless! Have fun and create a unique print with the help of bubbles! Register here.

BIRCH TREE LANDSCAPE:
Learn about the Group of Seven and create a landscape inspired by our beautiful birch trees! Register here.

 

August 27 / 1:30pm – 3:30pm

‘SPRAY’PAINT:
Learn about abstract expressionism and create a painting using recycled spray bottles! Paintings will be carefully placed in a plastic bag for safe transportation back home. Register here.

MIXED MEDIA BIRD FEEDER:
Create a bright and colorful bird feeder with recycled materials! Register here.

TEXTILE ART:
Learn about texture in art and create a floral art piece using fabric and yarn. Register here.

MOVE + CREATE:
Learn about movement, shape and line in art works. Together we will do various sequence of movements then create abstract drawings inspired by them. Register here.

PLASTICINE MASK:
