Virtual Art Classes (Fall 2020)

 

 

Join us virtually to create fabulous art projects.

 

The Art Gallery of Sudbury / Galerie d’art de Sudbury is offering its popular Creative Kids art classes in a virtual studio (via Zoom) facilitated by professional art instructors, for children between the ages of 5 and 12. The art classes offer creative exploration of various art mediums, encourage skill development, cultivate art appreciation, and will introduce children to a new way of creating with easily accessible and found object art materials. for an online creative experience!

Learn various pencil shading techniques and draw a still life.

 

Materials needed: Pencil, card-stock paper (8x11in).

Flower Inspired Painting:
Create an acrylic painting on a black canvas inspired by famous artist Georgia O'Keefe.

 

Materials needed: Acrylic paint (primary colours and white), white chalk, black canvas (or canvas painted black), paintbrush.

Fabric Collage:
Learn about mixed media art and create a fabric collage.

Create a mixed media art piece inspired by animals.

Learn about the Group of Seven and create a landscape painting.

Create a fun decorative mask with only recycled materials for Halloween.
